Hello, here are some free textures. Continue reading to find out why I'm putting these out right now, and why they are only available for a limited time.
I was not planning on putting these out just yet, but here is the texture combo i used on this lovely medieval horse piece in Dither Boy!
I took these from the full Photocopied pack, which was the last texture pack I created before switching my focus to Dither Boy.
We're currently preparing the Dither Boy Halloween update and the Flareware 2 update, but are being delayed by a process known as "code signing" which I won't bore you with, but we basically have to pay for a certificate every year if we want Windows 11 to not flag our apps as suspicious, which is fine, but as part of the process someone needs to phone me and verify my identity... and i've been waiting two whole weeks for the phonecall. So we are right now just in software limbo, we have a huge Flareware update ready to go but only on Mac, so instead of just having nothing to share in September, I am putting out these textures from Photocopied instead.

The trick to getting the results i get from these textures is that you need to use a LIGHTEN blend mode (like lighten or screen) on the DARK texture, and then you need to use a DARKEN blend mode (light multiply or darken) on the LIGHT textures, and then add a high threshold, high intensity glow above it. Grab the files below, or get the full pack at full res.
