Please use caution and discretion while using these video loops.
To get a version of this asset pack with all video loops removed, select “JPG/Still Only” version.
In order to prioritize accessibility while creating the Screen FX Kit we spoke to Epilepsy Action about photosensitivity and how to ensure the files in this product comply with the Ofcom’s guidelines on flashing images, regular patterns and photosensitive epilepsy.
When submitted for testing, a sample video that contained 1 loop from each file passed all tests and had the following results:
- Luminance Flash test (Ofcom Para 3) – 0 Violations
- Red Flash test (Ofcom Para 3) – 0 Violations
- Spatial Pattern Test (Ofcom Para 3) – 0 Violations
- Extended Failure Test (Ofcom Para 2) – 0 Violations
Upon request we will share the Test Certificate if you send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “FLASH TEST CERTIFICATE”
While we have taken measures to prioritize safety and accessibility, your individual usage and editing of the loops may still effect photosensitive individuals.
Some people may not know they have photosensitive epilepsy until it is triggered and we strongly advise users to comply with the guidelines outlined by the W3 Consortium on photosensitivity, seizures, and physical reactions.
These guidelines can be found at the following link: W3 Guidelines on Seizures and Physical Reactions. It is crucial to exercise caution and consider individual sensitivities when incorporating these video loops into your projects.
If you would like to test your own content or get more information about photosensitivity, please see Epilepsy Action’s helpline or visit onlineflashtest.com for testing.
